Utah Jazzzzz!
I am sitting here watching the Jazz game and am enjoying some crescent rolls that my wife made. The Jazz are currently playing the Suns and it is getting really close to the playoffs. I really hope that the Jazz can bump up a couple spots in the standings so they do not have to play the Spurs or the Lakers in the first round. That just would not be very fun to watch as I absolutely despise those two teams. Why, you may ask? Because they usually beat the Jazz. We just need to make one key move to make us a championship caliber team in my opinion. Bring in a quality center to clog up the lane or a quality 2 guard and I think we would be over the hump to be in the Finals. For now, I will just have to settle hoping that they do not play the Lakers or Spurs soon.

Daylight Donuts

I am so hungry right now. In fact, I am hungry quite often. I have recently heard of a Daylight Donuts opened in Pleasant Grove. I have not yet visited the restaurant, but plan to. I consider myself a donut lover and am excited to go try out this venue. The tricky part is getting my wife to come. She is a dietetics major and not quite as big of a fan of the pastry with a hole in it. Although, quite ironically she did work as a donut froster for BYU one semester. I will keep you updated on how the donuts taste.

Mission Call!
My brother-in-law got his mission call last week. I thought he would be going stateside but I was not sure where. We had the mission call opening ceremony at our house which was pretty fun because we got to keep all the extra ice cream. We put his parents on video chat using the google video. He opened his call and is going to Salt Lake City!!!! He seems really excited. I don't think anybody guessed Salt Lake City so it came as quite a surprise. It was fun for him to witness him go through that and reflect on the excitement that is felt in that time of life. Exciting times...

Flight of the Conchords
A new season of Flight of the Conchords has come out. Unfortunately it is only being televised on HBO. For those unaware of the hit sitcom Flight of the Conchords, they describe themselves as "New Zealand's 4th most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo". They also have a tv show that I have found to be quite entertaining.

I want to play the harp guitar
Today in class, our professor showed us a video on a guy that plays the harp guitar. It was pretty spectacular as he played the harp with his left hand and the guitar with his right. I do not know quite how he did it but would love to go to a concert if this guy was putting one on. Unfortunately Shayne informed me that he died in a car accident three years ago. I am sad that he died, but I am also sad for myself because now I will not get to go to a concert played by the harp guitarist with sweaty dreads.

Buying a "coke"
Today I bought a "coke" for someone. They were reluctant to accept it at first and looked at me like I was joking. Once they realized that I was being serious, they took it from me. It was kind of funny to see the expression on his face because he was probably not used to people just buying a drink for him.
